This qualification is designed for people employed in the processing of food, beverages, and related products in the dairy sector. It further builds on the NZQA level 2 skills and is intended for all operators.

This course is suitable for

All operators, coordinators, team leaders, supervisors, managers and staff interested in further developing their skills.

  • Understand the composition of milk and the chemical and physical changes during dairy product processing
  • Understand general microbiology and control of microorganisms
  • Understand prevention and control of foreign matter contamination of dairy products
  • Comply with Aseptic sampling techniques
  • Comply with documentation requirements
  • Conduct a titration of a clean-in-place solution
  • Understand clean-in-place processes
