The LCQ Course, Liquor Licence Controller Qualification, covers two Unit Standards – 4646 and 16705.
- Unit Standard 4646 demonstrates knowledge of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989 and its implications for licensed premises.
- Unit Standard 16705 demonstrates the knowledge of host responsibility requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises.
A Liquor Licence Controller Qualification is a prerequisite for a liquor licence.
If you want to apply for or renew a Managers Certificate (Liquor Licence), you must have achieved the Liquor Licence Controller Qualification.
- This Food Safe training course is classroom-based and covers the Sale of Liquor Act and Host Responsibility.
- The course also includes a closed-book examination.
- Trainees must be proficient in reading and writing in English.
- On completion, trainees receive an LCQ Certificate of Achievement.
The LCQ course, Liquor Licence Controller Qualification, is only available on request and is delivered for a minimum group of 6 trainees or more at the client site.
